CompassionCon 2023 will be a Fall event centering on the viral nature of compassion when our communities prioritize our common humanity and interdependence. This interactive festival-like conference will uplift the positive impact compassion has on our social and community contexts of health.

This gathering will develop awareness, education, and action around compassion for self, others, systems, and the Earth. The goal is to help people realize that we must care for each other and build communities around a culture of care that supports everyone’s well-being.

This festival is an opportunity to celebrate our interconnectedness while we build healthier communities together. Join us for music and art, wellness activities, food trucks, mobile health care units with blood pressure testing, HIV testing, Mpox vaccines, as well as the distribution healthcare resources and access to care.

CompassionCon 2023 will be in partnership with our rural partners and will be an opportunity for rural grassroots community health and equity organizations to network and engage with urban partners.

We invite you to participate

Volunteers can work in two hour shifts anytime from 9 am to 5 pm, and can help with set-up, check-in, break down, and clean up, or be a liaison for our Sensory, Earth, Health, Self Care and Civic Engagement areas or tents. Or, you can be a floater and be able to assist in multiple areas!

You will receive a t-shirt and food vouchers for the yummy food trucks on site.

Thank You To Our Community Members.

Compassionate Atlanta is a grassroots community-building non-profit which seeks to raise awareness about the benefits of compassionate action throughout the Greater Atlanta area.

We do this by teaching and encouraging people of every persuasion and walk of life to channel their concern for the wellbeing of others into tangible action. The goal is to build healthier, more connected, abundant, and thriving communities.

We advance and shift the local and global culture by centering compassion with everyone we connect with and everything that we do.

CompassionCon will give us the opportunity to create and support communities where welcoming, belonging and inclusion are celebrated.

Join us with this movement and, please,  spread the word.

Our first CompassionCon event was on May 21, 2022 at the Historic Grant Park in Atlanta, Georgia. It was a wonderful intergenerational event with vendors, performances, Arthur of GPB, a juggler and activities for all ages. We thank our premier supporters, Emory University, GPB, and all others for making it a success. Thank you for being part of our community. We cannot wait to see you at CompassionCon 2023 on Saturday, September 30th at Legacy Park in Decatur.
